Application of Traumastem biodress
Before applying Traumastem biodress, we recommend applying a compress solution to the wound for 10 – 15 minutes. In cases of strongly coated wounds, we recommend using a solution with antimicrobial activity (such as Dermacyn). Once the area around the wound has been treated in a standard way, such as with indifferent paste (zinc paste, zinc oil), apply Traumastem biodress to the wound, ensuring that it does not extend beyond the edge of the wound.
The size of the applied Traumastem biodress may be adjusted to the size of the wound by cutting. Insert Traumastem biodress in the wound and cover it with secondary dressing (e.g. oily gauze). Cover the wound by an absorbent material (square gauze) and fix it in place with a hydrophilic bandage. The dressing may be left on the wound for one to three days, depending on the quantity of exudate. The need to change the dressing is indicated by full resorption of the product. Changing the dressing is very easy and does not traumatize a patient because Traumastem biodress was fully resorbed.
If there are any unresorbed residues of Traumastem biodress on the edges of a wound, treat the wound by a compress solution and carefully remove the residues after 15 minutes.
