study date: 29. 05. 2009, published: 04.08.2009

Clinical testing had been performed at the Centre of Dental Implantology, Department of Dentistry, Medical Faculty of the Charles University and University Hospital in Hradec Králové. When a perforation of the Schneiderian membrane occured, a tear was covered by an oxycellulose reticulum. One of four materials was used: Traumacel woven fabric (new trade name: Traumacel TAF IMPLA), Traumacel knitted fabric, Traumacel TAF light and Surgicel. The testing proved an excellent effectivenes, a sufficient mechanical resistance, absorbability, adhesiveness and very good adaptability of Traumacel TAF IMPLA. Besides considerable cost savings, Traumacel TAF IMPLA significantly improves the technique of operations.
