Dehiscent wound in a 67-year-old patient after the aortic valve replacement surgery. Post-operative course was complicated by surgical wound dehiscence involving the skin and subcutaneous tissue, 15 cm long and 2 cm deep, with minimal secretion. After the application of Traumastem biodress (2nd, 4th and 6th day of treatment) quick granulation of the wound, infection suppression and tissue remodelation were observed. After 9 days due to the good wound healing a resuture could be performed and the patient could be discharged from the hospital. Traumastem biodress use accelerated healing of the dehiscent wound, shortened the stay in the hospital and lowered the treatment costs.
