22-year-old man, with hemiplegia after spinal cord trauma, which he had suffered snowboarding, is permanently wheelchair ridden. He has developed a fistula with opening 2,5 cm wide in the sacral region and a large undermined decubitus ulcer reaching to the coccygeal bone and ischial bone. After two plastic surgeries of the decubitus – accompanied by massive purulent secretion – no healing was observed. After a week of therapy with Hyiodine viscose solution and tamponing with Traumastem biodress purulent secretion in the wound has ceased. Healing of the ulcer is very difficult, due to the forced position on the wheelchair, but it has become clean with gradual granulation.
