Application of Traumastem Biodress Comfort

Intructions for treatment of chronic wounds

Traumastem Biodress Comfort is supplied in a sterile form. Traumastemu Biodress Comfort package contains bioactive dressing of size 10×10 cm and non-adhesive highly absorbent dressing of size 16×16 cm where the green logo is printed on the upper side. Dress the wound by a standard nurse procedure. Perform the wound sanitation (rinse the wound and If needed, apply poultice solution and treat the wound surrounding, i.e. with indifferent paste).Into the wound insert bioactive dressing (10×10cm). You can adjust the size according the size of the wound and then cover the wound with non-adhesive absorbent dressing so that the printed size of dressing is on the top. It is possible to keep the dressing on the wound 1 – 4 days. With coated and strongly exuding wound, we recommend redressing every 24 hours. If the wound is moderately exuding, we recommend redressing every 48/72 hours. It is possible to apply bioactive dressing in two layers (i.e. to fold 1 piece) and redress the wound every 4 days. If this size is not sufficient, use Traumastem Biodress as the second layer. With wounds with low secretion we recommend moistening the wound as well as Traumastem Biodress with saline solution. The sign for exchange of dressing is full absorbance of bioactive dressing or yellow gel on the wound base. The exchange of dressing is very easy and does not traumatise clients because bioactive dressing is fully absorbed in most cases. Possible rests of dressing, e.g. on the edges of the wound, or the leftovers of yellow gel on the wound base is possible to remove by rinsing or by applying of poultice solution. It is possible to use Traumstem Biodress on the long-term base.
